Evelyn's baptism was May 27. Our church was being remodeled so we wanted to wait for her baptism until we were back upstairs instead of the basement.
We had a beautiful new font added to the church and with that were several changes to the way the baptism is done. At the beginning of the mass we began in the back and then processed in front of Father John.
Later we were up front.
Then we processed to the back with our entire family.
Evelyn had the special honor of being the first immersion baptism in our church. She thought the dunking wasn't very appropriate but once she was back in mommy's arms she stopped crying right away.
She wasn't sure what to think about getting dressed and undressed during church.
During the offertory Father John takes the babies around the church so everyone can see them.
And that was the point where Amelia cried. She thought Father John was stealing her baby sister and she told me to go get her back. I love how protective Amelia is of her baby sister.
