Weekly Projects

I've been obsessed with knitting vests lately. I think it's because I'm hoping to be able to wear them immediately and have them fit over my postpartum belly. So far knitting is the only crafty thing I'm able to accomplish which is only possible because Amelia loves to be in the Moby wrap which allows my hands to be free.

I finished knitting this vest from knitty. I used Rowan chunky tweed and love how it turned out. After I block it I'll post a picture of my vest. I like to think this vest proves that I'm a true crafter at heart because it was my "nesting" thing. Apparently some women have the overwhelming urge to clean just before going into labor. Not me, I really had to knit and finished about half of the back the day before going to the hospital.




I started another knitty vest. For this one I'm using Alpaca from a local farm. The owner of the farm is actually one of Lucas' coworkers and I'm really liking how lightweight the yarn is knitting up.
